DO YOU NEED A CAR INSURANCE?

All cars in Hong Kong are required by law to be at least covered for Third Party Liability Insurance. Alternatively, you may also purchase Comprehensive Coverage.

Third Party Liability Insurance will only cover your liability in respect of any property damage, bodily injury or death resulting from your motor accident. A Comprehensive Coverage, on the other hand, will also cover damage or theft of your vehicle in addition to Third Party Liability.

HOW MUCH COVERAGE SHOULD YOU BUY?

We would recommend that you purchase Comprehensive Coverage rather than just Third Party Liability Insurance to be protected from the financial loss of large damages.

WHAT DOES A CAR INSURANCE LOOK LIKE?

The Car Insurance premium is paid at the start of the policy period and the coverage will only last for one year.

The key benefits of Car Insurance are Third Party Liability coverage, coverage for damage to your own car and any replacement car benefits e.g. covering car rental charges.

Additional or optional benefits may include:

  • Payment of a small lump sum amount for personal accident
  • A fixed amount of medical benefits
  • Free towing services
